Named after Prince Eugene of Savoy, she was armed with eight 20.3 cm guns and displaced over 16,000 tons.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eIn May 1941, she participated in Operation Rheinübung with the battleship Bismarck, engaging British ships in the Battle of the Denmark Strait. Damaged during the operation, she later took part in Operation Cerberus, a dash through the English Channel. Torpedoed in Norwegian waters in 1942, she underwent repairs in Germany.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eAfterward, Prinz Eugen trained cadets and supported the German Army on the Eastern Front. It shelled the Japanese home islands just before the war's end in September 1945. My version of this ship is based on it's first camouflage which was a dark gray coat of paint over the entirety of the hull.
