Here is my "play scale" Resistance X-Wing MOC. This build has retractable landing legs, a cockpit that fits a minifigure and a functioning s-foils mechanism identical to the one in my X-Wing MOC, which was inspired by the 75301 set.
The ship has a slot designed to fit a BB astromech, but it can easily be converted to fit a "normal" astromech such as R2-D2 if you leave some selected pieces out.
This MOC is available both in the grey/blue color scheme and the black/orange Black One version flown by Poe Dameron. If you buy one version of the instructions, you don't need to buy the other, as the builds are identical, but I made them available separately in order to have separate parts inventory. However, the MOC page includes only the parts list for the Black One version. IF you want the parts list for the blue and grey version, click here.
It's a relatively sturdy build, although probably not up to official LEGO durability standards. Other than the tips of the blasters on the wings, nothing is prone to fall apart, but in order to achieve the shape of the nose I had to make some compromises and there are some connections that would be considered fragile. It's still very swooshable and closer in durability to official LEGO sets than to other "replica" style MOCs.
For more pictures of the MOC as well as an actual built version, see here, here and here (please note I built only the grey and blue version).
