Description
I'm getting better at designing planes and I think it's all thanks to the comfortable 1:350 scale combined with the 1x2 and 1x3 rounded plates which allow me to do whatever I want with wedges for the wings and tails of the aircraft. This is my own version of the Airbus A340-200 and since it's a precise version of the A340 family, you can definitely expect more LEGO MOCs from the A340 family!
I designed this MOC at an approximate scale of 1:350.
The Airbus A340-200 is a long-range, wide-body commercial airliner developed by Airbus as part of the A340 family. It first flew on October 25, 1991, and was introduced into service in 1993 with Lufthansa. Designed for ultra-long-haul routes, the A340-200 featured four CFM56-5C engines, allowing it to fly long distances without ETOPS restrictions, which limited twin-engine aircraft at the time.
With a typical range of about 12,400 km (7,700 miles) and seating for around 260 to 300 passengers, the A340-200 was ideal for intercontinental routes. However, due to its relatively high operating costs compared to newer, more fuel-efficient twin-engine jets, production was limited, and most A340-200s have since been retired or repurposed.
