Airbus A340-500

My Airbus A340 MOC family is getting bigger and there is a reason why, because this is the Airbus A340-500, yet another variant part of the family of four engine airliners. Notice any differences between this model and the other ones?

I designed this MOC at an approximate scale of 1:350.



The Airbus A340-500 was developed as the ultra-long-range member of the A340 family, capable of flying some of the world’s longest non-stop routes. It first flew on February 11, 2002, and entered service with Emirates in 2003. Powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 553 engines, the A340-500 had a maximum range of 16,670 km (10,360 miles), allowing it to connect cities like Singapore and New York directly.

It typically seated 270 to 310 passengers in a three-class layout and featured a longer fuselage and increased fuel capacity compared to earlier variants. Despite its impressive capabilities, the aircraft saw limited sales due to high operating costs, and airlines eventually transitioned to more fuel-efficient twin-engine jets. Only 34 A340-500s were built before production ended.
