Archimede Class Submarine

A submarine in May? What could that mean? That's right! It's SubMayRine Month again and this year I am planning on bringing you some fresh new LEGO Submarine MOCs!

We're starting the month with one of the 4 Archimede Class Submarines which was requested by a fan on my Discord Server. 

This LEGO Archimede Class Submarine was designed at a 1:500 scaled (+/- 5mm) and features all the details of the Archimede Class Submarine including surface guns and individual propellers.



The Archimede class comprised four submarines constructed for the Regia Marina (Royal Italian Navy) in the early 1930s. These submarines played roles in the Spanish Civil War under the Nationalist flag and also participated in World War II. Two of the submarines, while serving in Spain, were referred to as the General Mola class. They were decommissioned in 1959.
