Shout-out to LiamMorrill on Rebrickable for making this request last week. Since I designed an Airbus A400M Atlas, designing the Boeing KC-135 wasn't that much of an issue. I found my own way of designing LEGO aircraft using 1x2 and 1x3 rounded plates and it works really well on models at this scale.
I designed this MOC at an approximate scale of 1:350.
The Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker is a military aerial refueling aircraft developed from the Boeing 367-80 prototype, which also led to the commercial Boeing 707. Introduced in 1957, the KC-135 was the U.S. Air Force’s first jet-powered refueling tanker, playing a critical role in extending the range of strategic bombers and later, tactical aircraft during the Cold War and beyond.
Powered by four turbofan engines, the KC-135 can transfer up to 200,000 pounds (90,700 kg) of fuel mid-air using a flying boom system. It has a top speed of around 530 mph (850 km/h) and a range of over 1,500 miles (2,400 km) with a full fuel load. Despite its age, many KC-135s remain in active service thanks to extensive upgrades, supporting U.S. and allied air operations globally.
