Icelandic Lighthouse
a moc inspired by the architecture and nature of Iceland
this is part one of a new modular series, more focused on the combination of nature and architecture
you will get handcrafted PDF instructions and a bricklink partslist
(a blue plates can be replaced by any color)
the Nature
the cold icelandic nature, land covered in grass and moss, sheep grassing in the icy winds
the Lighthouse
The old lighthouse, inspired by differnet real life lighthouses in Iceland, is a cozy home of the lighthouse keeper.
In front of the house sits the old wooden bench the keeper uses to enjoys nature, overlooking the sheep grassing, to the right is some logs to fuel the fireplace in the bedroom.
The kitchen and living room can be found on the ground floor, a cozy big chair next to some knick knacks the keeper collected over the years. A old globe, a ship in the bottle, some maps and books and an old tv.
the kitchen has a small fridge for the essentials, some storage for plates and cutlery, a gas stove with a small gastank
the first floor is the bedroom, a big bed next to a wood burning fireplace to keep warm at night, and some personal items on the nightstand(shelf) - above that sits a small office in the round part of the tower, with some books and journals written by the keeper and a typewriter to write the next one
At the top is the guiding light, accessible by the ladder, with a 360 turnable light to watch over ships and guide them
