KMS Tirpitz Battleship

This is a miniature unscaled version of the Bismarck Class Tirpitz Battleship. I made brand new building instructions for it and added the necessary part lists to build it easier.



Tirpitz, the second Bismarck-class battleship commissioned by Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine during World War II, was named after Grand Admiral Alfred von Tirpitz. Launched in February 1941, it was armed with eight 38-centimetre guns and underwent wartime modifications, becoming the heaviest battleship ever built by a European navy. Initially serving in the Baltic Fleet to deter Soviet breakouts, Tirpitz later moved to Norway to act as a deterrent against Allied invasions and intercept convoys to the Soviet Union. In 1943, it bombarded Allied positions on Spitzbergen, its only offensive use of the main battery. Damaged by British mini-submarines and targeted in large-scale air raids, Tirpitz ultimately capsized and exploded on November 12, 1944, with casualties ranging from 950 to 1,204. The wreck was later dismantled by a joint Norwegian and German salvage operation between 1948 and 1957.
