This car is definitely one of my icons of the last few decades. It stands for driving fun without tons of horsepower and being affordable for the middle class. It was a long-held wish of mine to translate this icon into a Technic model. I wasn't sure whether it would be possible to capture the cuteness and fun it stands for, but I think I managed to do it a little... I hope you like it, too ;-)
I wanted that this model is not only a display item but can also be played with. So I put two servo motor inside for steering and gearshifting, one medium motor for movement of pop-up headlighrs and finally one buggy motor for driving.
Specifications:
* Parts: 2595 (without motors/rc)
* Scale: 1:8
* L/W/H in cm: 50,0 / 23,9 / 16,9
* Weight: ~ 2,2 kg
Functions:
* Front side doors opening
* Bonnet and tailgate to open
* Suspension front and rear
* 4 steps gearbox (integrated on rear axle)
* Gear shifter (motorised)
* Steering (incl. movement of steering wheel) (motorised)
* Pop-up headlights movement (motorised)
* Motorisation of model with 1 buggy motors (BuWizz recommended)
Please note:
* motors and remote control are not included in the parts list, as they are your decision (for the buggy motor I recommend BuWizz)
* rims and tires on the pictures are not original (write me a message where to get)
Motors needed:
* 2 Servo motors (e.g. Lego 99498)
* 1 Medium motor (e.g. Lego 16512)
* 1 buggy motor (e.g. BuWizz 2.0 or higher)
* remote control & battery in one brick (e.g. BuWizz 2.0 or higher)
This model shares 65% of its parts with Ferrari Daytona, comparison link see below.
I wish you an enjoyable build and pleasure with the result.
