This is my AT-ST Walker MOC, also known as the All-Terrain Scout Transport.
At 435 parts and 23 cm (9 inches) high, it is significantly smaller than the latest versions released by LEGO, something that I feel it's an advantage for two reasons. First, it doesn't feel too oversized in comparison to the minifigs, even though at this smaller scale it can only fit one fig inside. Secondly, since it's smaller and lighter, it can have working legs with 3 points of articulation each, something that allows it to be displayed in walking poses, unlike the official sets.
The articulated legs are possible thanks to a new piece, the 80523 Technic Rotation Joint Disc with Pinhole and 2 Pins. It's a relatively newer and expensive piece, but the set only requires 2 of them, and needs mostly pretty common parts.
If you choose to purchase these instructions, I can't tell you enough how much your support is appreciated.
