When my passion for this hobby was born, set 75179, Kylo Ren's Tie Fighter was the first set that I bought as I believe the Tie Silencer to be one of the best looking ships in the entire Star Wars franchise. I've kept it on display ever since. But I could see the potential in it, so I decided to turn the playset into a display set.

Here is my complete overhaul and modification of set 75179. It maintains much of the internal structure but externally it has been completely re-designed, smoothed out and all of the lines re-worked. Numerous details have been added based on screenshots and highly detailed 3d models. The wings have been completely re-designed with all new construction methods.

I have also created a cavity in the underside which the stand can slot into (the stand is a modified version of the UCS Batwing stand). This change has had no effect on the ships already robust structural integrity. Plus I have completely re-designed the entire instructions to accommodate this modification. If you choose to build it I would highly recommend taking your set apart first and starting from scratch with my instructions as they differ greatly from the original.

The modification uses 52% of the parts in the original set so if you already have it you will need to obtain 1012 (very commonly available) pieces to create this mod and it's stand. Which currently cost about £60 on Bricklink (convert to your local currency, Bricklink prices are subject to change)

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns for custom-built or partially assembled MOCs. All returns must be unopened and unused.
