I designed this speeder after noticing the CIS lacked a dedicated policing vehicle. Inspired by that gap, I created a model that blends the distinctive insectoid design of Separatist vehicles with elements of civilian speeders from the Galactic Sci-Fi Universe universe. The speeder features a removable sliding tray at the back, offering both functionality and modularity. This allows for future customization in case I decide to develop additional modules for the vehicle. Please note that this model does not come with any figures, so you’ll need to add them to your order list if you don’t already own them.

I don't believe in charging people for the instructions, as I believe LEGO® should be enjoyed by everyone! However, if you'd still like to show your support, you can leave a small tip via my Ko-fi page: here

Lore:
The Police Patrol Craft (PPC), designed for the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS), serves as a specialized enforcement vehicle on CIS-controlled worlds. Its primary role is to conduct surveillance and maintain order in urban environments and high-security areas, where more aggressive forces would be excessive or politically undesirable.

Design & Function:
The PPC is a sleek, lightweight craft engineered for rapid mobility. Its disc-like shape allows it to move swiftly through narrow streets and congested areas. While the vehicle is unarmed to avoid being perceived as overly militaristic in civilian spaces, it is far from defenceless. Housed within its compact frame are four standard-issue B1 Battle Droids, which can be deployed when necessary.

The front of the craft is fitted with a reconnaissance and surveillance console, allowing the pilot droids to receive real-time data from CIS control centres, identify potential threats, and track criminal activity. The two unarmed B1 droids that pilot the craft act more as operators, controlling the PPC's speed and navigation. They also handle general police duties, such as monitoring citizens, overseeing checkpoints, or providing warnings.

The four armed B1 battle droids are stored in compartments located behind the pilots, ready to deploy when the situation escalates beyond basic policing needs. They are equipped with blasters and are activated in scenarios where civil unrest, violent crime, or other disturbances require greater force.

Usage and Strategy:
The Police Patrol Craft plays a vital role in the CIS's occupation and governance of contested worlds. To minimize dissent and maintain control, the CIS leadership wanted a low-profile, efficient policing tool that wouldn't provoke civilians by its mere presence. Hence, the PPC's unarmed, sleek design. However, the potential for swift escalation is always present, as the droid reinforcements are inactive until needed.

The PPC can be found patrolling high-traffic areas like market squares, spaceports, and industrial districts. Its ability to quickly deploy backup battle droids makes it ideal for quelling minor insurrections or neutralizing rogue elements before they become significant threats. In essence, it serves as both a surveillance tool and a rapid response unit in areas where a full military presence is impractical or undesirable.

Craft's Role in the War:
During the height of the Clone Wars, PPCs were increasingly deployed across worlds sympathetic to the Separatists. They were particularly effective on contested planets, where civilian populations were hesitant to support either side of the war. The Separatist PPCs were meant to impose order without provoking outright rebellion. These units were feared for their quick transformation from passive observers to enforcers of the Separatist regime.

In areas where tensions ran high, the appearance of a Police Patrol Craft often sent a clear message to insurgents or those loyal to the Republic: the CIS is watching, and it can deploy force if necessary.

While the craft itself is defenceless, its function within the larger droid army network gave it a crucial role in maintaining control over key Separatist territories without the need for large-scale military deployments.
