The Botanical Garden - Modular Expansion
a modicfication of set 21353 that expands the original set by one halfbase plate on each side and makes it modular compatible
you will get handcrafted PDF instructions, and a bricklink partslist of the extra part needed -
(the instructions do not include the ones of the official set, I made these instructions in a way that you can fully build the original set, then follow the guide at the start of my instructions and start building the moc from there)
I love the botanical garden set released this year but wish it would fit better next to other modulars - so ive made an expansion for the set.
I thought the main building needed more breathing room, so I added a outdoor area on each side
the original set also didnt come with a sidewalk like normal modulars, so i added that, with a few other details
I used almost all parts of the original set, plus the parts listed in the inventory tab - for me it cost around 110€ to order them on bricklink
The Cafe
going through the wisteria covered arch will lead you to the big outdoor space on the right - a space for more plants, flowers and more space to enjoy the goods from the cafe
The Education Park
on the left I added a space for the employees to foster more flowers for the main garden and care for plants on the garden workbench - a space that can also be used for educational purposes - teaching kids about botany (and actually letting them touch the plants)
I would add children minifigs to tell that story
the moc can be easily seperated into 3 parts, to make it easier to carry
some of my other modulars next to each other:
