Continuing the Unimog theme, I’m excited to share my take on the Road/Rail Unimog – a versatile vehicle that serves as the backbone of railway maintenance crews. This MOC is inspired by the innovative Road/Rail Unimogs commonly used in Japan, designed to navigate both roads and train tracks with ease.
Key features of this model include:
• Functional rail wheels that can be lowered, lifting the Unimog’s tires off the tracks and allowing it to drive seamlessly along train lines,
• A fully operational aerial work platform mounted on the rear for elevated maintenance tasks, and
• Extensive cab protection, ensuring safety in challenging work environments.
