Description

The first Submarine for the SubMayRine Month 2022 event! Meet the USS Nautilus (SSN-571): the world’s first nuclear-powered submarine and the world’s first submarine to complete a transit through the North Pole in 1958. The construction of this submarine led to a shift of the geopolitical world, especially during the Cold War. in terms, motivated other countries including the USSR, France and the United Kingdom to launch themselves in the construction of their own Nuclear-Powered submarines.
Design-wise, it is also a submarine with a unique design within the collection: featuring a straight and vertical nose rather than a bulbous one as seen on most modern nuclear-powered submarines nowadays.

Built at a 1:500 scale just like the other WW2 submarines from the previous season of SubMayRine month (2021).
