Virginia Class Submarine

Genuinely one of the fastest designs I made based on a request. Just this morning I received a comment on the channel requesting for a Virginia Class submarine at a 1:1000 scale. Quite a specific request you might ask, but if you didn't know, I have built the USS Nimitz, a Ticonderoga and an Arleigh Burke all in the same scale. So it kind of makes sense to have a nuclear powered submarine in the same scale among the fleet



The Virginia-class submarine is a nuclear-powered fast attack submarine developed by the United States Navy to replace the aging Los Angeles-class vessels. Designed for a wide range of open-ocean and littoral missions, the first in the class, USS Virginia (SSN-774), was commissioned in 2004. Built by General Dynamics Electric Boat and Huntington Ingalls Industries, these submarines integrate advanced stealth, surveillance, and combat capabilities.

Each Virginia-class submarine is equipped with Tomahawk cruise missiles, torpedoes, and unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) support systems, and features a vertical launch system (VLS) along with modular construction for upgrades. At 115 meters (377 feet) in length and displacing around 7,800 tons submerged, the class is intended to remain a mainstay of the U.S. Navy's undersea fleet well into the 21st century.
