Wallace & Gromit: The Wrong Trousers

UPDATE: V2! This is a minor update to address the rarity of certain pieces. This doesn't really visually impact anything other than the 'tubes' on the wrong trouser's legs. The part used there (65138 Dish 4 x 4 with 4 Studs) whilst cheap on Bricklink Studio turned out to be quite rare. It's a very modern piece so part availability will likely increase, but for now I've adjusted the model to reduce the reliance on it and use a more flat design. If you still want them (and the to slightly more accurate look), just make sure your order has 14 of them instead of 4.

Almost all other changes are imperceptable to the renders.

I’m excited to share my latest LEGO creation, inspired by one of my all-time favorite Wallace & Gromit adventures—"The Wrong Trousers." As a proud Brit living in Bristol, this project holds a special place in my heart, blending beloved characters with the charm of LEGO building.

About the Build:
After enjoying the journey of crafting my Star Trek ships, I wanted to pivot to something closer to home. "The Wrong Trousers" offers the perfect mix of humor, creativity, and intricate details that I love bringing to life with LEGO. I'd seen some amazing ones that went to Lego Ideas, but all had been denied at the end stage. Also, most of those have used non-existant bricks. Not here! All of these are readily available.

What’s Included:

• Wallace & Gromit Figures: Recreate those classic moments with Wallace and his ingenious dog, Gromit. Wallace’s upper body is designed to fit seamlessly into the iconic Wrong Trousers, while Gromit is ready to roll his eyes.


• Feathers McGraw: No "Wrong Trousers" set is complete without the crafty penguin himself. Feathers comes with detachable gun and carries a bag of swag, fresh off a heist when he’s not wielding his re-engineered control panel.


• The Wrong Trousers: The highlight of the set! These trousers feature posable legs with secure studs at the bottom, allowing for dynamic poses and interactive play. Plus, removable controls allow you to hand them over to Feathers McGraw...


• Tea Time Table: Embrace a quintessential British tea setup with a detailed table that includes a steaming tea set, a classic cracker box, and a delightful cheese-on-a-cracker snack. It’s the perfect spot for Wallace and Gromit to plan their next adventure.

Dimensions:

• Built Size: Approximately 23cm high for Wallace, the rest vary in height.

A Bit About the Journey:
Building this set was a labor of love. I’ve always admired the meticulous stop-motion animation of Nick Park and wanted to translate that magic into LEGO bricks. Living in Bristol, surrounded by creativity and the happy buzz this city has, inspired me to pay homage to such a cherished story. Every step of the build, from designing the detachable trousers to perfecting the tea setup, was a delightful challenge that I thoroughly enjoyed.
